FAQs
Working Together
What should we expect when considering Fifth Letter?
-
Yes. While measurable results come from ongoing marketing relationships, we are happy to begin with a project to earn trust with a new client.
(On a related note, hello potential new client!) -
Hey, it's a jungle out there in terms of your options.
We like to say that prescription without diagnosis is malpractice. We start with marketing strategy, seeking to understand your challenges first and then working on tackling them. Our best partnerships are with organizations that need deeper investigation of those challenges, seek long-term growth, and can plan for and commit to growing their reputation in the form of both budget and personnel.
Start with what you truly need. If you’re chasing clicks or quick-turn campaigns, a performance-driven digital shop might be the right fit. But if you’re looking to build a brand that stands for something—and stands out—take time to explore the approach each agency takes. How they started often shapes what they do best.
Look for a partner whose origin story and approach align with your goals, culture, and long game.
-
Some things you can handle in-house, and we are happy to partner with your team.
But sometimes when you’re deep in the day-to-day, it’s tough to read the label from inside the jar. We offer perspective from the outside along with tools, structure, and a history of helping internal teams see clearly and act with confidence.
-
You bet.
Set aside the budget to devise a new campaign launch both internally and externally. We'll help you figure it out.
Investment
What’s the return for my team, time and treasure?
-
Our marketing packages include rough timelines to set expectations. However, all timeframes depend on unique factors like how many decision makers there are, how big the project is, aligning schedules, etc.
We detail timelines and project phases in our proposals.
-
It all depends on the project.
Six months at a minimum is a realistic expectation for a campaign to build awareness and traction. It’s never a bad idea to align the launch with your fiscal year so you have time to plan and budget accordingly.
-
You’re not just funding a marketing initiative, you’re bringing focus to your message and momentum to your mission.
Your team are the subject matter experts for your organization. When they believe in the strategy and your customers understand the story, your budget works harder and decisions come faster. That’s not surface treatment fluff. That’s leverage.
-
Budgets vary, and so do our minimums. We’re a high-value, hands-on studio. Our pricing reflects the craft, thinking, and partnership we bring to the table. It’s competitive with peers who deliver at the same level.
Contact us with your budget and rough timeline and we'll see if we can help. And if we cannot, we will do our best to refer you to someone who may be a better fit.
Impact
What should we expect from our brand or marketing work?
-
In spite of what you might read or hear, there is no silver bullet when it comes to marketing. But there is strategy, structure, and experience.
We’ve partnered with organizations at pivotal moments to help them find their focus, reengage their audience, and build meaningful momentum. Regardless of client size, we bring that same clarity and commitment to every project.
-
Strong branding and marketing do more than make you look good. They create pricing power, help attract the right people, speed up sales, and build lasting trust.
When done right, it’s not overhead. It’s an asset that grows in value over time.
-
Marketing and sales are partners. If sales have slowed, chances are the story isn’t connecting, the positioning is off, or the customer can’t see the value. A strong strategy helps clear that up.
-
The best marketing doesn’t stay locked in a slide deck or shoved in a drawer. It’s a living thing that shows up in how your team sells, hires, designs, and communicates. We help you bring the brand to life with intention—from internal alignment to external rollout—so it works where and when it matters most.
Deliverables
What do we get and when will we get it?
-
To begin with, no more blank stares in meetings or rewriting the same line for the tenth time.
You’ll walk away knowing exactly how to connect with clarity, consistency, and a message that feels authentic and meaningful to the audience you care about.
On a practical level, you’ll get everything from logos and colors to tone of voice, real-world layouts, usage guidelines, and type recommendations. The building blocks you need to show up with confidence and stand out with purpose.
-
Design grows out of strategy—that’s our foundation. That means we’ll craft materials that connect, inform, and inspire, whether it’s a new brand identity, website, packaging, environmental graphics, print collateral, or campaign ads.
We love work that tells stories and persuades an audience: pitch decks, books, murals, social templates, icons, infographics, even video and photo direction, all guided by intent and impact.
-
Marketing isn’t a one-and-done effort. It’s how you show your value, shape your story, and stay consistent wherever your brand shows up. When your business or the market shifts, your message—and how you share it—should shift as well.
