Hi. I’m Elliot, a problem solver, storyteller and maker with close to 30 years of experience rooted in design.

I’m currently available for contract work and advisory roles when you need help with marketing research and strategy (my head) or creative direction and graphic design (my hands).

I’m also a podcast host and collage artist (my heart). Both of these activities inform my professional work, and my work is informed by these activities.

Curiosity and collaboration get me out of bed in the morning, along with the promise of drinking some good coffee and hearing a funny joke. I enjoy meeting new people and working together to answer the question of “what could be” with each new opportunity.

Quite simply, I use creativity to move the needle and spark conversations.

Feeling the same way? Let’s talk.

You can also connect with me on LinkedIn, but please, no spammy sales stuff.

My values…

Learn
Prescription without diagnosis is malpractice. It’s easier to solve a problem once it’s been clearly defined.

Listen
It’s hard to learn when you’re the one doing all of the talking. Two ears, one mouth.

Collaborate
A load is easier to lift when there are other hands to help. Give people a reason to believe.

Encourage
Speaking of belief, I’ve had mentors, colleagues and friends who believed in me, so I believe in doing the same for others.

Compliment
Never pretend to have all the answers. Use your time, treasure and talents for good.

Accolades

I’m not gonna lie. It’s nice to be recognized by peers, but no one likes the humblebrag.

Nevertheless, here we are.

My work has appeared in design magazines from HOW, Print, Communication Arts, Dynamic Graphics, Graphic Arts Monthly and GDUSA as well as business profiles in HOW and GDUSA. It has also been included in 17 books from Graphis, Type Directors Club, LogoLounge, American Corporate Identity and Rockport Publishers. In addition, my work has garnered awards from AIGA, AAF (aka The Addys), CASE, PICA and UCDA, has been featured in industry publications for commercial printing and paper mill promotions and is included in the permanent collection of The Library of Congress. (I’m really proud of that last one.)

Having said all that, when clients tell me my work has made a difference for them and their business, that feels really, really good.
